Chris is a Solicitor covering cases across the North West and Yorkshire area. Chris specialises in Mental Health and Public law. Chris is an accredited member of the Law Society’s Mental Health Tribunal panel and provides advice and representation to clients in all aspects of Mental Health law, regularly representing clients before the Mental Health Tribunal and at Hospital Managers Hearings. Chris has considerable experience in representing both civil and forensic client’s in all levels of security, including extensive experience representing those detained in High Secure Special Hospitals.
Chris represents vulnerable adults with physical disabilities and mental health conditions in obtaining lawful assessments of their needs, service provision, treatment and suitable accommodation from both social services and the NHS. In addition to challenging decisions to remove or reduce care packages and refusals to fund treatment.
Chris is a member of the Mental Health Lawyers’ Association (MHLA) and has delivered training for the MHLA.
Chris graduated from Leeds University with an BA(Hons) in History and has a degree in Law from the University of Law. While growing up in Yorkshire, Chris worked in London following graduation, before returning North in 2015. Chris is an avid follower of all things current affairs, while very occasionally he tries to get out for a round of golf or walk in the Dales.
